History
Kithood:
Cassiopeia was born alongside her brother Heisenberg to Yofie and Douma. Before her birth, there was a feud that happened between her father, Douma, and her uncle, Raguel. Douma had demanded to become patriarch, but Raguel insisted that he would lead the family to ruin. The feud ended with the death of Raguel and the tension it created within the family would have lasting effects on the family.
As a kit, Cassiopeia was pushed aside by her father in favour of her brother. This resulted in Cassiopeia being raised primarily by her mother. Cassiopeia wanted nothing more than to be with her brother.
At a very young age she learned that she could use her dark pelt to sneak around in the shadow. This development allowed her to sneak into her brothers training sessions whilst avoiding her father's eye.
Adolescence:
Tensions run high and an attempt on Douma's life was made by two of Raguel's children. Cassiopeia witnessed her brother be snatched by one of the attackers. While Yofie had been able to save Heisenberg, the events had left mental scars on the young cat; she became more distrustful of cats outside of her immediate family.
Some time later, Douma and Yofie have another litter which consisted of her younger sister Rusalka. Cassiopeia was confused why her father would ever desire to sire another litter when he didn't even have enough attention to spare for his second born. Her confused feeling aside, Cassiopeia was ecstatic that she was no longer the youngest one in the family. She finally had a younger sister that she could dote over.
With her family growing, Cassiopeia learned to loosen up a bit and become more playful with her siblings. She would often call out Heisenberg to play spar or Rusalka to sneak around and get into mischief.
Adulthood:
After a while, the family come across a long twoleg. This would be the perfect place to settle down since Douma had been suffering from chronic pain after being attacked in the revolt. It was an adjustment to be living in the twolegs home, it made Cassiopeia nervous because she couldn't hide as easily under the artificial lights.
Suddenly, soon after the family moved in, Douma had fallen ill. Cassiopeia refused to be near her father, even whilst he was taking his final breaths. If he had never cared for her, why should she care for that old sack of bones? However, Cassiopeia was glad that Heisenberg became the family head, maybe times would become better now that her brother was in charge.
Time passed and the family became thinner as cats would leave to other twolegs or pass on. It seems as if their time here was coming to an end, the old man seemed to be moving them on to a new home. Cassiopeia had just finally become comfortable in her home, she was worried how much of a change it would be to move somewhere new.
A year later saw the family in a new town with many new smells. It seems as if this new land held much promise. Cassiopeia is skeptical of gossip around town of a 'kittypet gang' who's offering protection. She feels as if she's protected by her family well enough and doesn't think to give any thought to the gang.
Just over a year later, Evergreen and Wicked find the dead body of Remus in the outsider lands. Cassiopeia is shocked that such a young cat would be murdered in cold blood. She worries for the safety of Heisenberg whenever he leaves the safety of their home. Not long after, Heisenberg drags Yofie home after they were brutally mauled by Windclan cats. Cassiopeia is devastated, with the news of Yofies death Cassiopeia secludes herself from the family in grief. She now barely speaks and refuses to even acknowledge anyone outside of her immediate family.
One moon later, the Tribe of Rising Storms, an outsider group, is disbanded. Cassiopeia doesn't care because she stays in the safety of her home. However, she starts to become curious of the Kittypet gang that her brother frequently visits. She wonders what he gets up to.
Some time passes and there is news among the kittypets and outsiders that, Shadowclan has taken residence at the waterfall. It seems like there's something amiss again, Cassiopeia worries for Heisenberg more these days, it almost feels like he's with that gang more than he is at home.
